Abstract

Database design is imperative in the imputing and retrieval of information from a database management system (DBMS). This is hinged on conceptual modelling upon which cardinality constraint is a major factor to consider. If the evaluation of the model is positive, then the physical design's implementation and the database become operational. Thereafter maintenance which ensures optimum performance and life cycle of the DBMS ensued. Thus this study showcases how the relevance of a good database design and implantation is utilised in information management to achieve organizational productivity and growth.
